Kenai Fjords National Park
June 27 Seward, Alaska
We left our comfy Comfort Inn by foot, and walked 3 blocks to the trainstation.  There we caugt the Alaskan Railroad Costal Classic

After some lovely scenery we arrived in Seward Alaska.  This coastal town on Resurrection Bay is very important because the harbor never freezes.

Next we boarded the Star of the NW, a tour boat with a National Park Service Interpreter and an all you can eat salmon and prime rib buffet (or all you can stomach, if the seas get rough!).  Fortunately we were blessed by calm seas and only slightly chilly weather.

We saw Bald Eagles, Artic Terns, Puffins, Murr (like Penguins), Stellar Seals and a sea otter.

Finally, we returned by train to our comfy Comfort Inn home-away-from-home.
