Summary: A tribute to the X-Files, which has brought me
much pleasure.
Obviously, some poetic license has ensued. Many thanks to

Ode to X-Files
The X-Files is a terrific show.
It has made me cringe and shirk.
All the cast and all the crew
have done tremendous work.
Mulder and Scully have come to life
before our very eyes.
David and Gillian have made them real;
those two are very wise.
They're like real people with human flaws.
They're smart and brave and true.
But like crime-fighting heroes in our lives,
the rules they don't always pursue.
They've made me laugh and made me cry
and made me scream and run.
I've never been so involved in a show as in
X Files from day one.
This outstanding series has brought me
fears, friends and lots of fun.
It's sad to know this matchless show
is now officially done.
What will we do without Mulder
fearless, bold and strong?
And Scully, the queen of denial.
Will she ever say she was wrong?
Mulder loves Scully and Scully loves Mulder.
Will they ever get together?
Or do *we* have to make that part up?
I kind of think we'd rather.
Chris Carter's the genius who created this show,
but we don't always see eye to eye.
It doesn't always happen the way the fans want it to,
but we let that pass with a sigh.
My gratitude goes out to Chris
for inspiring stories, lists and sites.
I've found much joy in the fanfic,
And list-friends have brought me delight.
I'll always keep X-Files in my heart, and the
enjoyment it's brought from the start.
And the friends I've made through this marvelous
show will always reside in my heart.
